Meeting Notes for Busy People

1. How is my data stored?

When you store your meetings information in Loopback (Meeting Notes for Busy People), your data is yours: you don't need to register any accounts, your data is not being collected for any purposes.

Everything you decide to enter in Loopback is being stored on your personal device and on your personal iCloud (default, can be disabled).

Default option of iCloud sync: if you own more than one Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac computer) and install Loopback on more than one of them your Loopback data will be automatically synced between them. If you uninstall and reinstall Loopback all previous data will be automatically synchronised with your iCloud storage. Nobody else has access to your iCloud storage.

Loopback with iCloud disabled: Loopback data is stored only locally on your device. If you own more than one Apple device and install Loopback on more than one of them, each device will have their own data storage. If you uninstall Loopback your data will be erased and cannot be recovered (your device will warn you about it). If your Apple device malfunctions and needs to be reset, Loopback data could be recovered from the device backup (if backups were ever performed).

To disable iCloud usage: iPhone Settings -> your Apple ID -> iCloud -> Apps using iCloud -> Show All -> Loopback -> Disable.

Loopback on Apple devices with corporate profiles that have iCloud prohibited will behave like "Loopback with iCloud disabled".

2. How to add a contact?

You can add a contact by pressing a plus symbol in the contacts page (main view).

You can add a contact manually or import a contact from your device's contact book. If you import a contact from your contact book some of its fields will be automatically copied to the contact's details and contact's known facts: name, profile image, birthday date, company name, email(s), phone number(s), url(s).

3. How to add a session?

You can add a session in many ways:

4. How to add multiple participants to one meeting?

If you have a group of people that you meet on a regular basis you can add a contact as a “group” contact type and not as an individual. You can list their names either in the “name” field or in the “details". (See the screenshot)

Alternatively you can create a group that has no names listed (e.g. “staff meeting”) and list your participants in the “details” section of every separate meeting.

If you had a one-off meeting with your permanent contact that somebody else was joining you can also make a note of it in the meeting details instead.

5. How are the Satisfaction Graphs being populated?

Satisfaction graphs are being automatically populated from session satisfaction scores of all meetings with a particular contact. (See the screenshot)

Pro Tip: you can (re)define what the "Session Satisfaction" means to you personally. For me it is how happy I was to partake in this particular meeting. For you it could be "how well attended a group meeting was" or "how much I like working with this client" or "how healthy I feel today" or anything else. As long as you consistently have in mind the same definition of the "Session Satisfaction" every time you log a session Loopback will track the metric over time.

6. How to add an attachment to a session?

You can add an attachment to a session in the section under the "New Known Facts". Attachments can be photos or files. After you save your session these attachments are copied to your iCloud storage (if iCloud is enabled) and can be accessed from any of your devices.

If you edit previously created sessions you can remove previously added or add additional attachments.

Removing an attachment from the session will not delete the attachment file.

7. How to review an attachment of a session?

You can review added attachments when you open a previously added session details.

If there are any attachments added you can review them by clicking/tapping the attachment's name. Most of common file formats (photos, spreadsheets, presentations, pdf's, etc.) will be shown in a preview without leaving the Loopback app. If your attachment is of a proprietary format and is not supported it can be forwarded to a corresponding app by tapping the export icon.

If attachment is big and is not dowloaded to your device yet, it might take a few moments for the file to be downloaded. You can start downloading multiple attachments simultaneously.
